Apocalypse
Following the introduction of Gashadokuro, I’d like to introduce Apocalypse.
This piece is also currently available for preorder.
The size of the figure is approximately 190 mm (7.5 inch ) in total height.
For this work, I paid particular attention to both the eyes of the skull and the eyes of the gas mask.
Behind the metal grid, you can see cylindrical mechanical parts, along with a visible caution mark.
The gas mask looks like this.

This piece began as an attempt to translate motifs that have been repeatedly explored in my sculptural works since my early days—
masks, kimono, a giant skull, and a seated figure—into the format of an art toy.
